

Roland Morin lived a fulfilling life as a brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He loved singing, dancing, and doing charity work while being surrounded by family listening to Perry Como and Dean Martin.
His contributions to the lives of many included being a Nuclear Technician at Combustion Engineering in Granby CT (30 plus years), Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Executive Board Member of Shelter from the Storm, Chaplin/Lifetime Member of American Legion Post 11, Choir Member for St Patrick’s Church, and a member and singer for the SPEBSQSA and several Barber Shop Quartets. These charities were in Jaffrey and Keene, NH and Enfield CT
He also was an assistant to the Nurse Manager (Mary Morin) for the Handicap and Elderly Pilgrimage (Sainte Anne de Beaupre, Quebec) and a more 50 years of volunteering with her for the American Red Cross.
His loving wife, Mary Lillian Morin, of almost 70 years passed away on December 19, 2021. This left his heart broken but now he is with her smiling and singing his favorite song, “Because of you”.
Roland is survived by the loving community of St James City, FL where he was an active lifetime member of the American Legion Post 136.
Roland had a “large” family. They include their children and children in laws: Joanne and Joseph Correia, Deborah and John Herrin, Peter and Gloria Morin, Paul Morin, and Joyce Morin. Their 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Andrea, Laura, Heather, Jacqueline, Elizabeth, Peter, Jeffrey, Erica, Danielle, and Alejandro and 12 great children, Christopher, Lucas, Aiden, Aubrianna, Brooke, Hailey, Cameron, Genevieve, Reilly, Eirwen, Colton and Madeline.
Roland is also survived by one sister-in-law, Helen Colegrove and one brother-in- law James Enos, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Arsene Morin and Yvonne Delia Lavallee and all of his sisters, Rita Bolduc Nadeau, Violette Mallioux and Lucille Morin.
His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Bokeelia, FL on Tuesday, March 29th at 10:00 am. The burial with Military Honors will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. For those who would like to attend the graveside service, please arrive at the church by 10:45 for an 11:00 am departure.
