It is with deep sorrow, with love and remembrance that Rosemarie Ferrante, 90, of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully in her home Monday, August 25, 2025. She was born December 31, 1934 in Bronx, NY.
Rosemarie was the middle of two surviving sisters, Elaine and Toni with the added fourth, cousin Patricia who was always considered by the three as another sister. They were the four musketeers, going to the Casino’s and Bingo at any chance they were able. Rosemarie adored them all and lived her life waiting for their next adventure together.
Rosemarie was not a typical woman. When you think of the strongest woman made up with poise, dignity, love, respect and selflessness, that was our Rosemarie. In times of despair and tragedy, she was always holding her head up high wielding her inner strength. Her daily routine consisted of never leaving the house without her hair being perfect, makeup complete, and the jewelry worn only to hold the memories of her late husband, Dominick and son Johnny.
Rosemarie was a simple woman with a heart of gold. Her surviving sons Charles and Dominick and daughter Doreen were her life. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for any one of them. Her truest treasures. She was a grandmother to 7 and great grandmother “Grandma Cutesy” to 5. Her will to stand tall and proud was her family. If you were fortunate enough to know Rosemarie, you know what a beautiful soul looks like. She was an amazing mother, teacher, confidant and friend to her daughters-in-law Jane and Amy. She has been the inspiration of the family unit to all of us.
If heaven needed another saint, they received her. Because of the abundance of care and altruism from Charles and Jane throughout the many years taking care of her, they then made sure she was always cared for to the moment she peacefully left us in her own home with her two sons holding her hands. Rosemarie entered paradise with our lord to be joined with her beloved husband Dominick and her son Johnny with grace and dignity just as she always lived.
A visitation for Rosemarie will be held Tuesday, September 2nd from 4 - 8pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, followed by a funeral service at 4:30pm. Burial will be held at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
