Shari Lynn Kirkenmeier, 56, born August 9, 1967, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 after a long fight with Melanoma cancer. Throughout her journey with this terrible disease, Shari always kept a smile on her face and a determined will to beat the odds.
Shari was a devoted mother to Nicole Zaunbrecher and baby sister to Bob (Peggy) Kirkenmeier, Susan (Joe) Fritsch, and Sandy Kirkenmeier. Her partner for 11 years was Mike Malo. Her parents, whom have passed before her, were Jimmy Kirkenmeier and Elaine (Simota) Kirkenmeier.
Shari grew up in Michigan, moved to Pensacola, then on to Tampa, FL and settled in Fountain Inn, SC. Shari enjoyed driving her Mustang and belonged to a Mustang Club driving their Mustangs through the mountains of the Carolinas. She was also an avid reader, and loved to do puzzles. Shari went on camping and hiking trips in the foot hills of Tennessee and North Carolina with her daughter and church groups, loved boating and the beach and a fan of Rock and Roll music.
Shari’s remains will be interned in Pensacola and a Celebration of Life will take place at that time. If interested, please consider a donation to the Melanoma Cancer Foundation with the American Cancer Society.
