Ted H. Schmidt

Ted H. Schmidt, 72, of Cape Coral, FL, died of complications from cancer Monday, March 19th 2012 at Cape Coral Hospital. Born in Rochester, NY, Ted graduated with a Masters’ Degree in Education from the State University of New York. Ted taught from elementary all the way thru college and in the State Prison System. Ted was a lifetime member and teacher of the United States Power Squadron, even after his retirement in 2000. He was a Past Commander for the Fort Myers Power Squadron and received the Chapman award from the United States Power Squadron for Excellence in Teaching.

Ted married Sally Ann Schmidt on December 20th, 1975 in LeRoy, NY. Ted is survived by his wife Sally, his son Robert (wife Elizabeth), Daughter Lori (fiancé Davis), daughter Lisa and four grandchildren. Predeceased by his father and mother; Frederick and Marilyn Schmidt.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm at the Church of the Epiphany. 2507 S. Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, FL 33904. Reception will immediately follow at the church.
