Victor O Licorish

Victor O. Licorish, 78, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, under the compassionate care of Hope Hospice. Born on February 18, 1947, in Barbados to the late James and Hilda (Alleyne) Licorish, Victor carried the warmth and strength of his island roots throughout his life.

A devoted family man, Victor’s love for his family was unwavering and all-encompassing. He believed in structure, discipline, and integrity—not for control, but as expressions of deep care. His home was a place of guidance, laughter, and the kind of love that leaves a lasting legacy.

Victor was a passionate sports enthusiast, proudly cheering for his beloved Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. His love for cricket connected him to his Caribbean heritage, while his flair for ballroom dancing revealed a graceful side that few could match. Though many found joy in dining out, Victor’s heart belonged to the comfort of a home cooked meal—where stories were shared, and bonds were strengthened.

He will be remembered for his firm but loving presence, his loyalty to those he held dear, and the quiet joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the wisdom, humor, and love he gave so freely. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hilda (Alleyne) Licorish; brother, Euclid Alleyne; and one nephew, Stephen Alleyne.

Victor survived by his loving wife Zelma Licorish: daughters, Nicole Springer, Tonya Licorish: Siblings, Clyde Licorish, Barbara Jordan and Anna Shepherd; four grandchildren, Kaylah Belizaire, Tyheim Licorish, Tyrese King and Zaniya King; three nieces, Olivia Walrond, Erica Jordan and Danielle Shepherd; four nephews, Mark Alleyne, Akeem Alleyne, Dwight Jordan and Akindele Licorish; brother-in-law, Daniel Jordan; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral, FL. A Celebration of Victor’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM inside the funeral home. Following the services the family invites everyone to stay and enjoy a meal in remembrance of Victor O. Licorish.
