It has been an honor knowing Wayne for so long. I remember us meeting at church to mow the lawn when we were in jr/sr high. We enjoyed competing against each other at church for prizes like a week at camp. We taught Sunday School. We both enjoyed youth group. His ability to stand firm was amazing. He would tell be about the men on the research vehicle he worked on would try their best to get him to gamble. Wayne stood firm in saying no.  Wayne was a little disappointed (in a fun way) when he thought I was going to beat him to retirement. But he beat me to a place where there is no more pain. There are so many verses I can think of for his homegoing, but I am going to use Psalm 23. Till we meet again!

I will always cherish and remember all the Summers when i was younger coming down to stay with Uncle Wayne and Grandma.  All the things we did from activities at the church, to learning to help around the house whether it was doing yard work or helping to fix something in the house. Well at first it was just watching lol.  I remember how excited I was for you to meet Desiree.  A few years later we couldn't wait to tell you guys and for you to meet Ellora.  Seeing the happiness on Ellora's face when you played with her, tickled her made Desi and I so happy.  But most of all, seeing the joy and happiness in your face.  I wish you had gotten to meet Noah in person but I know you are and will always be watching over him and Elle.  We love you more than words and we know we will be reunited one day.  Love you

I first met Brother Wayne on an e3 mission campaign to Romania. I liked him at first sight. We were brought together because of our love of Jesus Christ and the need for people to hear a clear gospel presentation. My friend, rest from your labor. You will be missed. 

What a privilege to have known and served with such a humble servant of the Lord, Wayne Lewis. An evangelist and children's pastor, though he would never let anyone call him that. Instead, he preferred to be called "The Camel".....Wayne carried gallons of water for the Romanian team everywhere we went. Wayne truly loved the Lord Jesus and telling the children all about Him. And the children truly loved the Lord because Wayne went and told them...

Although I did not know Wayne well, we worked together with Builders Without Boarders in Rwanda where I witnessed his kindness and caring for others.   I remember Wayne as a gentle soul quietly serving others.  He will be missed here as he is welcomed into heaven!

Wayne is my closest cousin by age and took me to my prom many years ago.
I am going to miss this guy!

I built a few duplexes for Wayne several years ago in Cape Coral. I knew him some from events at Riverside Church before I came to know him better while working for him and Gladys. I witnessed his beautiful grace when things on the duplexes did not go as planned. He always had kind words for people he met. I will miss you my brother, in this world.
We will meet again someday.

I remember the first time Wayne came to romania, it was the first time I har seen some one be so active with  kids and so involved, so loving and so gentle! I had enjoyed so much knowing him and knowing he is a part of my life too, I will miss you Wayne! I am so happy you are home though!!! We will see you again! 🙂
