Doug is survived by his wife, Jean, Carlyle. Children and grandchildren, Pat (Bill) Cann, Arcola, Bryton & Dylan; Scott (Lynne), Carlyle, Austin & Conner. Step-mother, Edith P.B. Hewitt, Carlyle. Sisters, Irene (Harry) Tully, Brandon; Roberta Richardson, Vernon, B.C. Predeceased by his parents, Robert & Edith F. Hewitt. Daughter, Wanda. Brothers, Loy & Russell. Sisters, Hazel Perry & Evelyn Finnie.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from the Carlyle United Church with Reverend John Bullas officiating. Interment in Moose Creek Cemetery.
