
Sally Werstuik was born on March 30, 1930 in the Forest Edge District, north of Kisbey. She spent her entire life in the Kisbey area where he enjoyed family, farming-milking cows and raising poultry, and gardening. She finally left the farm in 1984 to move into Kisbey into the home Murray built. She resided there enjoying her yard and garden, family and many dogs over the years. Ill health forced her to leave her home in September 2010 when she left to become a resident of Parkway Lodge in Weyburn.
Sally enjoyed baking and cooking, corresponding with family with lots of letters and phone calls, making each of the family a set of cushions, gardening and her yard especially feeding the many types of birds, especially the hummingbirds & finches and squirrels who loved her ability to provide such a lush and lovely garden and numerous flowerbeds.
Sally was predeceased by her parents John & Anna Werstuik, husband Murray, sone Rae, grand-daughter Danielle, sister Pearl and brothers Steve, Bill & Pete Werstuik. She is survived by her daughters Shirley (Bob) Galbraith; Ilene Johnston; sons Jim (Joanne); Harold (Brenda); daughter-in-law, Gloria; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Jim (Dorothy).
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from the Kisbey United Church with Pastor Michael Ellis officiating. Interment in Arcola Cemetery.
