Charles "Bud" Edward Herring

Charles (Bud) Edward Herring, age 74, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Charles was born January 12, 1946. Charles was an automotive mechanic where he enjoyed working on foreign cars. After becoming diabled from his career he enjoyed being with friends helping them with various projects to keep himself busy. Before his career and after high school Charles served in the US Navy for four (4) years on the USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63). His service dates were from July 5,1966 through April 10, 1970. While in service he achieved the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He also enjoyed time spent with family and friends watching movies, sports and playing board games. Charles is survived by son Craig E. Herring (Lindy); and daughter Jennifer J. Herring; sister Patricia Brownell and 3 grandchildren Camryn, Cole and Carly Charles was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Herring. A private funeral will be held for Charles. I work at Carmel health and living where I met Bud. He truly stole my heart, He was my favorite resident & I have been heartbroken at his sudden passing, He was a character that’s for sure & always had me laughing . I always looked forward to seeing him everyday & I am going to really miss him. I Love ya Bud rip
