Kimberlee Ann Boodt

29, of Carmel, Indiana, departed this life Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born August 3, 1994 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Dale Edward & Angela Ann (Gordon) Bussey. Kimberlee was a 2012 graduate of Norwell High School in Ossian. She then earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Indiana University where she would meet her husband, Benjamin David Boodt.

Kimberlee and Ben were married in 2017 in Bloomington, Indiana. Kimberlee had worked as an IT analyst for Eli Lilly and Company, but more recently focused on being a loving mother to her son, Abe.

Kimberlee’s greatest joy was being a mother to Abe. She loved doing crafts with him and taking him to local events. She also enjoyed being outside, most especially when running. She completed numerous half-marathons and marathons. She was an enthusiastic baker, known in the family for her special Christmas cookies. She was an active member of Genesis Church in Carmel and was involved in multiple other bible studies throughout the city.

Kimberlee was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Patricia Ann Gordon.

She is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin David Boodt; darling son, Abraham Pat Boodt; beloved parents, Dale Edward & Angela Ann Bussey; devoted sister, Stephanie Lynn (Stephen) Hodge; dear nephews, Stephen Oliver & Rhys Alexander Hodge; dear parents in-law, David Bryan & Julie Ann Boodt and dear sister-in-law, Laura Margaret Boodt.

Private graveside services will be held at Carmel Cemetery.

A celebration of Kimberlee's life will be held on December 16, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Genesis Church in Carmel, IN. As part of the celebration of life, there will be a short service at 3:30 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kimberlee's name to either the Boodt Family Fund through Genesis Church or the American Heart Association.
