Laurie was born on December 7th, 1957 in Gary Indiana to Alex (Red) and Lois Chouinard. She graduated from Andrean High School, Class of 1975. Laurie married Jim Jannasch in May of 1982 and had three children Kelly, Kevin, and Konner. Laurie worked at the Westfield Public Library for over 20 years as a supervisor of the audio/visual department before retiring in 2018 to spend more time with her husband and children.
Laurie had many passions in life, but was first and foremost a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, collecting Longaberger baskets, attending craft shows, and always had the best looking manicure around.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Jim, her children: Kelly (Casey) Melton, Kevin Jannasch, Konner Jannasch; and sister, Alexis Beaver. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Lois Chouinard.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Leppert Mortuaries, 900 N. Rangeline Rd., Carmel, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
