Sue Sanders

Born on June 19, 1930 she lived a long and meaningful life defined by love, faith, and dedication to her family, She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Sanders and her parents, Paul and Zella Smith.

She is lovingly remembered and survived by her six children. Phyllis Roberts (Mark), Janice Crawford (Randy), Steve Sanders (Rita) Karen Lowery (Steve) Julie Poole (Ben) and Patty Holt (Tim). There are also thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Her legacy continues through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

She was a devoted friend, especially to Sue Lile whose companionship meant so much to her over the years and we count as another sister. A women of strong faith, she loved her church and found great joy and community in her spiritual life.

She also dedicated many years of hard work to her career at Sears where she was known for her commitment and kindness.

She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering love for her family, Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Leppert Mortuary-Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Rd., Carmel, IN 46032, on May 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.
