 Obituario de Teresa Lynn Lewis
Teresa Lynn Lewis, 60, of Westfield, Indiana departed this life Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at her home. Teresa was born November 9, 1960 in Indianapolis to the late Delbert and Martha (Bannister) Dean. She was proud to have worked as a manager for the City of Carmel Utilities for over 39 years. She had also managed Household Hazardous Waste, and held a Class IV Waste Water Treatment Plant Operators Certification License while working at the City of Carmel Waste Water Treatment Plant. Teresa was instrumental in managing Carmel’s “Feed the Frontlines” program. To know Teresa, is to know that she was dedicated to any endeavor she would undertake. She was an inspiration to others with her work ethic and great attitude. She was a true busy body and appreciated the little things in life. She loved the outdoors and was an advocate for protecting our natural world. Teresa was an accomplished gardener too and former president of the Hamilton County Master Gardeners Association. She enjoyed Zumba and bicycling with the Carmel Pedals on Thursday’s and ice skating and snowmobiling in the winter. Teresa loved traveling. Some of Teresa and Jordan’s recent trips were to Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Amsterdam and her main love was Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She loved sitting by the beach and looking out into the ocean. Teresa was also an excellent homemaker and decorator of her Westfield home. She loved hands on projects around the house. Teresa also adored her chocolate lab “Sirius”. She was also a member of The Well Armed Women and the Indiana Water Environment Association. Teresa was also known to be pretty crafty and creative. She enjoyed knitting with the Westfield Knitting Club, quilting, stained glass and baking and decorating incredible cakes. Teresa was happiest though making memories with her loving family and friends and never missed a special moment with her grandchildren enjoying fun weekends playing games and having sleepovers. She is survived by her loving son, Daniel (Kara) Lewis and grandchildren Jaxson and Kennedy; her devoted partner, Jordan Kleinsmith; aunt Ruth Bannister, whom Teresa was a devoted caregiver, and a host of dear friends and grateful Carmelites. Visitation for Teresa will begin at 12:00 pm noon on Saturday, October 23rd at Leppert Mortuary – Smith Carmel Chapel and conclude at time of her memorial service at 3:00 pm.
