 Obituario de Tou Vang
Tou Vang departed from this life into his Savior’s arms on March 17, 2024. Tou was born October 1, 1972, in Vang Vieng, Province of Vientiane, Laos, to Chouseng and Tru Mua Vang, the third of six children and the eldest son. Tou graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and pursued Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1995. From a young age he was always curious and intrigued by the latest technology, earning him the endearing title of “nerd” within his family who relied on him for guidance on various subjects, from technology to entertainment. In 2001 Tou met the love of his life, Eileen Song, and married her in 2002 and added to their family four precious children. Tou’s career path led him to thrive in smaller companies and startups where he could make a greater impact and move at a faster pace. However, his career never preceded the true loves in life: his wife and children. He always sought flexible jobs that allowed him to be actively involved as a husband and father. Tou was a man of few words, but he loved big and expressed his love through gifts and acts of service. He found joy in serving his friends, family, and especially his wife and children. He could usually be found around town running errands for his wife and kids or buying gifts for those he loved. As a father, he went above and beyond, like making customized bento boxes and transforming his children’s food into characters (yes, he did this, and we all thought he was over the top!). When visiting others, he found it hard to sit still without working on something in the house, such as putting up picture frames, fixing broken lights, and even putting up a fence! “Saying you love someone is meaningless if you don’t follow up those words with acts of love” were words that Tou not only said but authentically lived out. Tou was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed greatly, but his legacy of love and service will be cherished forever. Tou is survived by his wife, Eileen; children (Samuel-17, Ethan-14, Shiloh-12, and Olivia-10); his sisters Hua Vang Dodson, Xeng Vang, and Joy Yang (Friendship); and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, oldest sister Panukoochi May Vang, brother Xay Vang, brother-in-law Don Dodson, and sister-in-law Linda Her Vang.
