Fonse was born in Dallas, TX on April 28th,1932, to Lila Tenison Smith and Alphonso Ragland JR. He graduated from Highland Park High School and continued to receive a Business and Law degree from the University of Texas. He also lettered in swimming at UT.
If you knew Fonse he was always smiling, optimistic, trusting, and honest to a fault. He was one of a kind.
Fonse was married to Tricia Knight Ragland on June 17th, 1975, they were married 49 incredible years.
Fonse was a Judge Advocate Officer - JAG in the United States Air Force stationed in Manhattan, NY until June 1967. From there he relocated back to Dallas and practiced law for four years.
Fonse worked as a Stockbroker for Weber- Hall- Cobb and Caulde; May, Cullum, Ragland and Brittian and Southwest Securities Inc. All combined for a 51-year duration.
He enjoyed making money, traveling the world, sports, playing bridge (life master), and golf. Fonse experienced his first hole in one at the age of 88.
Fonse was also actively involved in the Salesmanship Club of Dallas - life member, Idle Wilde Club, member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Dallas Country Club for 65 years.
Fonse is preceded in death by his father Alphonso Ragland Jr, mother Lila Tenison Smith and brother Cruger S. Ragland.
Fonse is survived by Wife: Tricia Ragland, Daughters: Margaret Ragland, and Lilian Ragland. Stepson Jeff Moore and wife Michelle. Sister: Lila Ragland Brown Grandchildren: Briceson and Avery Moore, Great Granddaughter: Addison Moore. Niece: Jan Mueller (Mark). Nephews: Scott Ragland (Terry), Cruger Ragland Jr (Mary), Ace Brown, countless friends and several great nieces and nephews.

Military Gravesite Burial: Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park at 1:00pm.
