

Age 91, passed away on May 31, 2012 in Dallas, TX. Born December 24, 1920 in Rayne, LA to Bernard and Beulah (Beadle) Manley. Bernard is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Ann Manley and Linda Lee Manley; niece, Linda Gail and husband, Paul LeBlanc and children, Stephanie LeBlanc Patranella and Jeff LeBlanc. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 24 years, Marjorie Lee (Roberson) Manley and sister, Kermit Prejean. Bernard grew up in Lafayette, LA and joined the Army Air Corp, protecting the troops by making planes visible and identifiable during WWII, stationed in Matagorda Bay. He then later attended the Chicago Art Institute. Bernard married Marjorie on May 13, 1961 and after settling in Dallas, the two founded their own business, Manley Signs, which they ran for over 15 years. Mr. Manley loved many things including traveling the world, art, singing, telling stories and he especially loved his Boudreaux jokes. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6 – 8 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX. A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 1:30 pm at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
