Bobby Rex Faulkner

Bob was born December 31, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Otis and Leta Gay Faulkner (née McCary). A graduate from Irving High School, he served for five (5) years as a captain in the Army and was posted in Vietnam and Alaska. Upon leaving the Army, Bob received a Bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Arlington and a Master's degree from Letourneau University. He worked for GTE, later Verizon, for more than 20 years before retiring. While in retirement, he enriched his time by serving as a den leader for Cub Scouts, leader in Boy Scouts and Commander at his local VFW Post (all in Carrollton).

A beloved brother, husband and father, Bob cherished his family and friends dearly, and was happiest when golfing, cooking, grilling or hosting events.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nena; his children Keith Faulkner, Andrea Grubbs, Kelsey Grubbs, and Joshua Faulkner; his sister Brenda and her husband, Rick Richardson; his grandsons, nephew, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and oldest son, Gregory.
