Carin Lynne Bloom, 43 of Dallas passed away at her home Saturday, January 19th following a long period of failing health. The daughter of William Anderson Bloom, Jr. and Judith Elaine Diggs Bloom, Carin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Mandeville High School in 1987, and then attended the University of New Orleans where she received her undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy. Carin later earmed her Master's degree in Social work from the Southern University of New Orleans and spent her professional life as a Social Worker She moved to Dallas in the mid 1990's and her work included several years with the Dallas Police Department. She loved animals, especially cats and her greatest joy was that of being a mother to her daughter Lindsay.
Carin was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her daughter, Lindsay McGorvey and her brother, William Anders Bloom, III of Ashland, N.C. and a very dear friend, Raymond Kulbeth.
A memorial gathering will take place at 2 pm Saturday (Jan. 26th) at Rhoton Funeral Home.
