Christopher Wayne Bedford

Christopher Wayne Bedford was born on July 22, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Rosemary Young and Edwin Bedford. He passed away on September 10, 2013 in Carrollton, Texas. He graduated from High School in Sidney, Ohio in 1978, a year earlier than his peers. Chris proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from October 1980 to October 19874 where he received several awards, ribbons and a medal for good conduct.

Chris and Laura married in December 1987 and in April 1990 had their one child, Erika. She is the little twinkle in his eye and he would have moved heaven and earth for her.

Chris enjoyed many things including spending time with family and friends, taking Erika to Six Flags and other excursions, watching movies and traveling. He had a heart the size of Texas and often did things for others without being asked. He would go to a store to pick up something in particular and come back with something for someone else because he thought they might enjoy it.

Chris will be missed for many reasons, the least of which is the love he had for his family and friends, his truly gentle and caring nature and the joy he tried to share with others. For those of us he left behind, we sincerely hope that now you, dear Chris, have found the joy

you so desperately searched for in life.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11 am in the Chapel of Rhoton Funeral Home.
