HOWARD, DOROTHY ELLEN “Deedee”, born December 12, 1940, in Waco, Texas, passed away May 14, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by parents, Dorothy Gough Palmer and George Crawford Holloway. A long-time resident of Carrollton, Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Clifton Howard; brother, John Cree Palmer and sister-in-law of Stroud, Oklahoma, two nieces; Shannon Palmer of Stroud, Oklahoma and Kathy McVey of Joshua, Texas, two nephews; Joseph Carl Palmer of Stroud, Oklahoma and David W. Powell, Carrollton, Texas and two honorary grandsons; Cameron Hayden Corgill and Christopher Sterling Corgill of Farmers Branch who brought her much joy and many cousins throughout Texas. Deedee owned and operated a secretarial and answering service in an executive suite for many years and managed others for absentee owners. She closed her business in 1991 and assisted others in home management. She touched many lives and counseled others through life’s trying times. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Frwy, Dallas 75244. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Rhoton funeral home 1511 S. I-35e Carrollton,Texas 75006.
