Dorris Martin

Dorris Pauline Jackson-Martin, 85 years of age, passed away December 30, 2014, surrounded by family members and others that greatly loved her. She was born July 5, 1929 in Fort Worth, TX to John R. Jackson and Beryl (Drainey) Jackson.

Throughout her life she was devoted to her faith and her family. So much so that she felt compelled to assist any member of the family even if it meant relocating for extended periods of time. Dorris was kind, gentle, nurturing, and funny. Always willing to lend an ear or a hand to someone in need. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John P. Jackson, husband Wayne Martin, and four of her children, Michael Bradshaw, Robert Bradshaw, Dale Bradshaw, and Laurie Bradshaw.

Those surviving include her sister Norma Jackson Goldman, children Sharon (Bradshaw) Vargas of Fort Worth, Bruce Bradshaw of Blair, WI, David Bradshaw of Justin, TX, and Ellen (Bradshaw) Woolsey of Denton, TX.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m until 12 p.m Saturday, January 3, 2015 at LDS Oak Point Church, 8801 Martop Road, Aubrey, TX 76227. Phone: 940-898-0022.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. with Bishop Lott officiating. Burial at Furneaux Cemetery, Carrollton, TX. Arrangements are by Rhoton Funeral Home.
