

Eddie Thomas "Edd" Riley of Carrollton, Texas, beloved husband of Beverly Riley, passed into the presence of Jesus on Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was born in Murray, Kentucky, on May 17, 1931, to parents John and Ollie Riley.
Edd volunteered for the United States Army at the age of 17 in 1948 and served honorably for 21 years. He married his wife of 57 years, Beverly Jean Granzow, on August 1, 1964. After his Army career, in 1969, he moved his family to Carrollton, Texas and worked for IBM until he took early retirement in 1992. After spending a year at home in retirement, he returned to the workforce with C.E. Services for several years until his ultimate retirement from the workforce. Edd was a master of all trades and seemed able to repair any and every item he worked on. He loved spending his free time exercising and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed watching his son and granddaughter play soccer and never missed a game. Edd was always there helping friends and family with any and all repairs or other needs and he loved serving the Lord by working with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church building staff.
Edd is survived by his wife, Beverly Riley (Carrollton, TX); son Tom and wife Patti Riley (Carrollton, TX); daughter Michelle Hoedebeck and husband Fred (The Colony, TX); grandchildren Emily Riley and Lauren Riley (Carrollton, TX); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ollie Riley; brother Parks; sister and brother-in-law Yada Mae and Watson Roberts; brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Betty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Senior Ministry.
