Florinda Fay Ferguson was born on January 25, 1921 to Andrew Jackson and Kitty Buchanan in Dike, Texas. Florinda married Louis Sherman Ferguson and they were married for 52 years. Together they had four children. Florinda was a wonderful mother to her children. Working as the home maker, she was there for their every need. Whether it was making snacks or mending clothes, she was the one to go to. Florinda passed away in Coppell, Texas on December 6, 2013. Florinda is preceded in death by her husband Louis as well as by her brother Jack Buchanan, sister Clara May Buchanan, and her brother Richard Hugh Buchanan. Florinda is survived by her children, Michael Stuart Ferguson, Louis Alan Ferguson, Pamela Kay Graham, and Keith Owen Ferguson, her ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Joe Bob Buchanan, Tommie Lynn Buchanan, and Betty Carolyn Parker. There will be a service at Rhoton Funeral Home on December 16, 2013 at 1 PM.
