Freda was born to Juanita Ramirez and Henry Hernandez. After graduating from Skyline High School she thrived in the cosmetology profession as a hair dresser for 23 years. While she was a wonderful hair dresser, her true passion was that of her beloved family. She was so very proud of her family and the close connection they have. Her joy for life and love for togetherness will forever remain.
The simplest pleasures in life brought much joy to Freda. She loved Sunday Dallas Cowboys games with her family and “Back to school Burgers.” You would often find her sitting at her kitchen bar smoking a cigarette, drinking her wine and enjoying whatever show she was engaged in. Her tv in her kitchen was just a few seconds ahead of the other tv so she always knew the score of the Cowboys game before anyone else. We are going to miss her contagious screams when the Cowboys scored a touchdown! But, her all time favorite was Judge Judy. We promise to watch your recorded episodes and keep you up to date.
Freda was survived by her beloved partner in life, Vincent Molina with whom they shared 36 wonderful years together. The love they shared was timeless and one to be cherished always. They would often take trips to “San Antonio” which was their dining room table. They would listen to her favorite Tejano music, dance and drink the night away. One day they will be reunited at their “San Antonio” in the sky.
Freda was survived by 3 daughters. She had them in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, she always loved saying that. Jessica Lynn Villanueva, Stephanie Hope Verver and Alexandria Anne Molina. She was definitely consistent with four letter middle names. Her daughters were her absolute everything, they were along her side every step of the way as she battled cancer.
Jessica Lynn Villanueva and her partner in life Martin Marez share 30 glorious years together. Combined they have 6 children. Percilla Marie Villanueva, Cesar Alfred Villanueva, Jasmine Marez, Nicky Marez,
Martin Anthony Marez & Marissa Ava Marez. In addition, they have 10 grandchildren, Damien Xavier Tanguma, Athena Ava Acosta, Naveen Cruz Acosta, Zyra Marie Camacho, Hector Alberto Ortega, Liliane Isabel Ortega, Maximus Noel Villanueva, Skye Lynn Razo & Angel Alejandro Lugo.
Stephanie Hope Verver and her husband Desiderio Verver, Jr. share 22 splendid years together. They have 4 children, Christopher Matthew Partida, Sarah Jessica Verver, Jordan Alexandria Verver and Desiree Trinity Verver. Christopher and his wife Alejandra Partida have one daughter, Annabelle Rose Partida and one on the way.
Alexandria Anne Molina and her partner Erica Chavarria share 8 wonderful years together. They have a beautiful daughter, Emerson Faith that we will one day be reunited. We look forward to that reunion as it will no doubt be a joyous one.
One of Freda’s greatest accomplishments in life was being a extraordinary grandmother to her many grandchildren. Her gift to understand and relate to each and every one is truly remarkable. Grandma Fred loved and adored every single one. They each hold a truly special place in her heart.
Freda was bountiful with siblings as her parents were blessed with many children. Her beloved sister Margaret Castilleja was by her side when she took her last breath. She passed peacefully and in no pain alongside her sister. She loved her siblings so very much and shared wonderful memories with them all.
Freda had the biggest heart anyone could ever have and saw the good in everyone. She left her mark wherever she went and with whomever she touched. If you ever received one of her 1:00am phone calls consider yourself fortunate. While she is no longer here in the physical form her legacy will live on. It will live through her children, grandchildren and their children to come. We will forever adore and remember you. We will stand taller and stronger knowing you are watching over us.
