Mary Edith Fletcher

Mary Edith Fletcher, a gentle and kind-hearted soul, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on April 18, 1930, in Carrollton, Texas, Mary was a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown.

Mary was married to Mathey "M.J." Fletcher on March 6, 1951. Together, they raised two children and shared 59 beautiful years until Mathey's passing in 2010. Her family was the center of her world, and she was predeceased by her husband Mathey, her parents Gola and Jewel Bailey, and her daughter Beverly Guillory. She is survived by her son, Joe Fletcher.

Mary dedicated over 30 years of her life working as a nurse for a primary care office before her well-deserved retirement.

A fashionable and social individual, Mary enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was known for her stylish outfits and always ensured her hair was impeccably done. Her vibrant presence was a source of joy for those around her.

Mary was an active member of the Carrollton Baptist Church at the Fields, where she contributed positively to her community. Her gentle spirit and kind-hearted nature endeared her to everyone who knew her, and she was loved dearly.

A visitation will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home, located at 1511 South Interstate 35e, Carrollton, TX 75006, on February 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Mary's legacy of kindness and warmth will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
