

Michael Joseph Mahler Jr., 84, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2023. Michael was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1938, to Michael Mahler Sr. and Dorothy Galleghar.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from The University of Maryland European Division, Master’s Degree in Spanish from Middlebury College, and a MAT in Media/Art from Webster University. Michael was married to Soledad G. Mahler on September 11, 1961; they were married 62 years.
Michael worked as an interpreter/translator for his company, Accento, The Language Company, that he started in 1970. His fondest memory is when he was a child and would go camping with his father. He was inducted into the St. James Wall of Honor and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Joseph Mahler Sr. and Dorothy Mahler.
Michael is survived by his wife, Soledad Gomez Trabadela de Mahler, children, Michael Joseph Mahler III (Celsa), Soledad Monique Mahler (Cesar Herrera), Mark Andrew Mahler (Yumiko Takeshima), James Anthony Mahler (Christine), grandchildren, Soledad (Solita) Shaffer Ne Comas, Antonio Comas, Olivia (Libby) Baig Ne Mahler, Michael J. Mahler IV, Jacob Mahler, Nicolas Mahler, Elise Mahler, and Nobu Mahler, great grandchildren Brielle Shaffer, Teddy Shaffer and Zain Baig. Along his siblings, Dolores A. Lavelle, Judith A. Mahler, Thomas S. Mahler and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will follow starting at 10:30am. A Committal Service will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 1:15pm at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery.
