Nancy was raised in Farmers Branch, Texas, and graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1977. She married Kenneth Childress in 1978, and the couple had 5 children. She was a manager at Childress Fabrics & Furniture, where she worked for more than 20 years.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed spending time with family and friends; going to the State Fair of Texas; attending and participating in car shows and car cruises; and going on road trips with her dogs. Her family will always remember her as a courageous and brave wife and mother who always instilled the importance of family.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Clyde Sharp. She is survived by her husband, Ken; their daughters Cheryle, Jennifer, Ami, Kendi, and Jayme and their families, including 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; her mother, Ila Mae; and her brothers Mark and John, and their families.
