Norma Jean Wilder Shelton

Norma Jean Shelton, 70, of The Colony, Texas passed away on August 1, 2017 in Plano, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born in Kilgore, Texas on March 27, 1947. Norma graduated from North Dallas High School. On August 20, 1973 she married Wesley M. Shelton. Norma had a career in Bookkeeping and worked for James Woods Chevrolet, Doran Chevrolet and Showcase Chevrolet. She had a passion for birds and flowers.

Norma is survived by her husband, Wesley Shelton, a son, Roy Ferguson and his wife Lisa of Little Elm, Texas; daughters, Greta Louis and husband Jeff of Elk City, Oklahoma, Leslie Denley and husband Brian of Elk City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cassie McKeaigg, Justin Louis, Austin Ferguson, Seth Denley, Kali Warren; five great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; a sister, Wanda Melton of Moore, Oklahoma; a brother Bobby Wilder and wife Annette of Linden, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the Rhoton funeral home chapel from 6-8p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 in the Rhoton funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.
