Rick holds six state records for motorgliders in NM, CO and TX, two US National records for distance and speed, and is a 4-time recipient of the Malcolm D. Stevenson Trophy for winning the annual Motorglider Nationals. He served as Pres. and Sec. of the Auxillary-powered Sailplane Assoc. (ASA), and organized the annual Motorglider Camp at Parowan, UT.
Rick is survived by his wife, Patricia, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and David Lyons, grandchildren: Joshua, Kurtis, Martin and Natalie Lyons, of Merrimack, NH; and his sister, Sarah Tyson of Santa Fe, NM.
