

Robert (Steve) Sculley, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Lewisville, Texas. Steve was born on June 9, 1941 in Thomasville, Georgia to Foster and Pauline Bass Sculley, and graduated from Thomas County Central High School in 1959. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962, where he was introduced to electronics while serving as a technician on ship radar systems. On February 9, 1963, Steve married the love of his life, Juanita Potts, at Eastside Baptist Church, in Thomasville. Their union was blessed by a son, Terry, and daughter, Tina.
Steve worked as a bookkeeper for Dixie Seed Company in Ochlocknee, Georgia, while going to night school to get his radio license. Upon completion in 1967, he joined AT&T in Lake City, Florida, eventually moving with the company to Chamblee, Georgia in 1985, then to Roberta, Georgia in 1991. He retired from AT&T in 2003, and he moved to Lewisville, Texas in 2021.
Steve was a strong Christian, was a member of several churches through the years, serving as deacon, teaching Bible studies, and always ready to help when needed. He took correspondence Bible classes and spent many hours searching the scriptures and praying for family and friends. He was always ready to share the Lord with anyone he came in contact with, from a deliveryman, to someone he met in a parking lot, to the mailman. He was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, pouring out his life to help others.
Steve will be deeply missed but forever loved and remembered. He is survived by his wife Juanita, his son Terry and wife Sandra, his daughter Tina Turner, grandchildren Chase Bartlett , Coyce Slebodnik, Miranda Trudeau and husband Jeff, Tifani Bartlett, Christopher Sculley, Karen Sculley Li and husband Daniel, and Jesamyn Landers, aunt Alice Horne, brothers-in-law Thad Potts and Earl Potts, sister-in-law Janice Smith and husband Eddie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 S Interstate 35E, Carrollton, Texas, with the funeral service following from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The graveside service will be held at 11:30am at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas.
