

Being the son in a military family, Scott had the opportunity to live in many locations including South Dakota, Colorado, Texas, Delaware, Florida, California, Nebraska, Japan and Okinawa.
Scott attended numerous schools during his childhood. His high school years were spent at Armijo High School in Fairfield, California and he graduated from Wahoo High School in Wahoo, Nebraska in 1973.
Scott continued his education at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska for one year before transferring to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in 1977.
While growing up, Scott participated in many different sports, with baseball being his true passion. Scott played baseball throughout his youth, during his first year in college and also for several semi-pro teams.
Scott, being an alumnus from the University of Nebraska, was a life-long avid fan of the Huskers.
In 1978, Scott relocated to Lewisville, Texas. He founded an electrical contracting business and soon established a partnership with his father and mother, Del & Elly Sagert, creating what is now known as Scott-Del Electric.
Scott attended Bodecker Bible Church in Dallas, where he met Sarah Williams, his future wife. Scott and Sarah were married in Sarah's hometown of Long Beach, California on August 12, 1989 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, which was the church she attended during her youth. Their first home was in Dallas, TX and after a couple of years, they moved to Carrollton, TX. Their first son, Jacob, was born on December 18, 1991 and their second son, Gabriel, was born August 10, 1994.
Scott was dedicated to the development of his boys which included years of coaching, Boy Scouts, Indian Guides and many other activities. He took great interest in the boys' education as well as their spiritual growth.
Scott enjoyed spending time at "Shiloh", his cabin at St. Jo, Texas, which he built from the ground up. His family has many fond memories of time spent there for get-togethers and holidays.
Scott was a man of honor, integrity and morals. He was a generous man with a kind heart. He was a great influence on so many and was referred to as a "great role model" by many people.
Scott was a loving husband, devoted father and devout Christian. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and each person that had the opportunity to know him.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar & Eldora Sagert and father-in-law, Robert Williams. In addition to his wife, Sarah and his sons, Jacob and Gabriel, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Chris & Pamela Sagert of Monument, Colorado; a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Dennis Smart of Wahoo, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Julia Anne Williams; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth (& Richard) Thomas, Maria Theresa Williams, Martha (& Rocky) Beach; brother-in-laws, Scott Williams, Richard (& Nikke) Williams, John (& Kim Ella) Williams, James (& Marie) Williams, Paul (& Cathy) Williams, Daniel (& Maria) Williams, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
Active pall bearers will be Chris Sagert, Greg Hohl, Dennis Smart and Danny Williams. Honorary bearers will be Seth Smart, Chris Hansen, Alan Guss, Rocky Beach, Stacy Replogle and Joshua Sagert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family for charitable purposes.
