Steven Charles Hicks was born April 29, 1957 in Akron Ohio to parents Gene & Betty Hicks. He passed away peacefully on May 6, 2013 in Carrollton, Texas. Although he grew up in Ohio he considered Texas to be his home. He married his bride Cindy on June 16, 1980 and had two sons Daniel and Matthew. He is preceded in death by his father, Brother Ken, grandparents & many Aunts and Uncles.
Steve enjoyed being at home with his family and beloved dogs. He loved cooking up new recipes for them to try and he loved his grill. Steve was an honest simple man who lived for his family and friends. He loved all the children that attended his wife Cindy’s daycare over the years and they all loved “Mr. Steve”
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 am at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton.
