Timothy James Banks, Sr., 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Carrollton, TX on September 7, 2014. He was born May 4, 1943 in Covington, KY, the son of Gerald Banks and Helen Boberg Banks. Mr. Banks was a veteran having served in the US Army. He was also an avid bridge player for many years and had achieved the rank of Life Master. Survivors include his wife, Carol Banks; sons, Tim Banks, Jr. of Cedar Hill, TX; Thomas Banks of Mesquite, TX; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Banks and Michael Banks; sisters, Patricia Haley, Judi Stuart, Jane Andres, Fran Bray and Susan Earl; numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX.
