Alton R. Earwood

Alton was born in Taylorsville,GA to Sterling and Lula Earwood. He served in the Army and was employed by Lockheed as an inspector until his retirement. He was a member of Floyd Creek Baptist Church. He loved Jesus, his family, his 1957 Chevy Bel Air Coupe, and Shania Twain.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sterling and Lula Earwood, brother Marvin Earwood, sister Geraldine Milam and sosn-in-law, Frank McCreary.

Alton is survived by his wife of 63 years Ruthell Cagle Earwood, daughters Cindy Earwood Mccreary, Kelly Earwood Rushlow, son-in-law Tim Rushlow, son Jason Keith Earwood, sister Mary Charles, and grandchildren Katie Mcclung, Caleb Mccreary, Cole Mccreary, Graysen Woodring, and Riley Woodring.

According to his wishes, there will be no public viewing or public service. A private burial will take place on Sunday May 19th at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. If you wish to send flowers, his favorite color was purple.
