Alvin Leon Munday

Alvin Leon Munday, age 72 of Cartersville passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Leon was born in Cartersville, GA on July, 21, 1947 to the late Fredrick Munday and Annie Ray Munday. He is survived by his wife; LaVerne King Munday, children; Melissa (Roger) Hawkins, Stella (John) Williams, Chris (Jan) Howren, grandchildren; Caleb Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins, Molly Jane Williams, John Cameron Williams, Mallory (Hannah) Howren, Abbey Howren, Nolan Howren and Will Mainor.

Leon retired from Shaw Industries and was currently working at South East PBE. He was a member of The Church at Liberty Square. In his spare time Leon loved attending classic car shows and socializing with his many friends he met there.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Josh James and Rev. K. Ray Looney officiating. The interment will follow in Wofford Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers..
