

Anthony Ciarloni – Age 98 passed away on February 3, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Luigi and Maria Frattini Ciarloni. He was also preceded in death by his sisters and their husbands, Lola Cusano (Fred) and Elsie Schettino (Fred).
Anthony is survived by his wife of 75 years, Louise DiMeo Ciarloni; daughter, Susan Civitello (Anthony) of Cartersville, GA; son, Robert Ciarloni ( Debra Kay) of Indio, CA; grandchildren, Michael Civitello, Esq. (Sara), David Civitello, PhD (Jenna), Kristy Bucklar (John), Brianne Londono (Patrick) and Jessica Porter (Tony); great-grandchildren, Luca, Nico, Gio, Danika, Presley, Grace, Christian, Elijah, Brooklyn, and Ryann.
Anthony was of “The Greatest Generation”. He graduated from Hillhouse High School Class of 1944, and proudly served in the Army in WWII. Anthony was a former Junior Commander of VFW Post 9928, New Haven, CT. He was a fourth degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in New Haven, CT. He was a carpenter by trade and honorably worked in the family construction and development business; James A. DiMeo and Son. He enjoyed bowling, bocce, ballroom dancing, gardening, pinochle, winemaking, vacationing in Hawaii, Maine, Italy and Florida, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. In his retirement years, Anthony enjoyed his time in Fort Myers, FL but most of all spending time in California and Georgia visiting his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Anthony Ciarloni will be held at St. Frances of Assisi Church, 850 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, GA on Wednesday February 12th at 11am, followed by a luncheon at the church.
