

She was born in Bartow County to the late Richard Bradley, Sr. and Rueul Jones Blalock.
Avery was a dedicated servant of Jehovah and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Cartersville. She enjoyed teaching the Bible, spending time with her grandchildren, working in the yard and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Edward Moore, a granddaughter, Donna Leigh Moore, her sisters, Elise Howard, Doris Westbrooks and Sarah Buttrum, and two brothers, Lewis Blalock and Charles “Chuck” Blalock.
Avery is survived by her children, James D. (Beth), Larry E. (Billie Jo), Phillip (Sonia), and David Moore. Two daughters, Wanda Moore and Cheryl Ende, all of Bartow County. Her brother, Richard (Lola) Blalock and a sister-in-law, Anita Blalock, of Adairsville. 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday , February 17, at 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home with her service beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel with her nephew, Arthur Black officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday morning, February 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Arnold cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her 3 grandsons, Eddie, B.J. and Jason Moore and her 3 great-grandsons, Zachery and Dustin Waits and Joseph McCrory. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Ellington and John Martin.
