

Mrs. Henson was born on October 3, 1942 in Stamford, TX, daughter of the late Bill Evans, her step-father, Cecil C. Brown and Rozelle Herndon Brown.
Kay was a very creative and talented interior designer and artist. She and her loving husband of fifty-four years, Gary, lived and traveled to many beautiful places around the world and she enjoyed building and decorating each home with her personal touch that created a story for everyone that visited. Their journeys together created a lifetime of cherished memories. Some of her favorite memories were meeting Pope John Paul, Princess Diana, going on an African safari, the Egyptian Pyramids, and visiting the Taj Mahal, just to name a few.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, David Brian Henson and Gregory Lloyd Henson; brother, Brock Eugene Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Henson; daughter, Suzi (Barry) Justus of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Morgan Kay Justus of San Antonio, TX and Connor David Justus of Cartersville, GA; sister, Judy (Earl) Hicks of Lumberton, TX; step-brother, Robert Brown of Cartersville, GA.
A Celebration of Life gathering for Kay will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon until three, on Sunday, the 11th of September, 2016 at the Grand Oaks, 302 West Main St., Cartersville, GA 30120.
In loving memory of Kay's son, Greg, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
