

Mrs. Sligh was born on February 10, 1937 in Kingston, GA, daughter of the late Luther Wade and Lilly Evans Wade.
Mrs. Sligh loved tending to her flower gardens and watching hummingbirds. The light of her life and the most important thing in the world to her was her family. She had a heart full of love for everyone she knew and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She is already greatly missed, but she will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Sligh; son, William Sligh; daughter, Peggy Joyce Sligh; sisters, Eva Maxwell, Ann Smith, Margie Barrett, Katie Wyatt and Joyce Mathis; brothers, James Wade, Melbourne Wade and Junior Wade; grandson, Travis Sligh; son-in-law, Lee Connell.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth (Gene) Smith and Evelyn Connell; son, Jerry Sligh; nine grandchildren; 16-great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, L.M. Wade; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 23rd of September, 2022 at Mt. View Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Michael Daniels officiating.
