Blake McAlavy

Blake was born in Middleboro, Massachusetts on October 22, 1986 son of Bryan McAlavy and

Joann Eaton Lopez.

Blake is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald McAlavy and Arthur Eaton.

Blake lived life fast, furious and unafraid. He was always surrounded by his friends and family.

He never met a stranger and was always one of the first people to lend a helping hand to

anyone in need. Even in his passing he gave with organ donation through Donate A Life.

Because of his gift, others now have a second chance at life. He was always the one that put a

smile on everyone’s face, not only from lighting up the room when he walked in, but also from

his hilarious jokes. He was the proud owner of Southern Roofing. Blake lived a life of adventure

and he enjoyed racing go-karts, snowboarding, boating, water skiing and gaming. He fiercely

loved his family. He is gone too soon, but he will never be forgotten.

Survivors include his parents, Bryan (Freda Deery) McAlavy and Joann (Anthony) Lopez; sisters,

Alexis (Quintin) Bunch, Brittany Byford; step brothers, Ian and Murphy Deery and Anthony

Lopez, Jr.; step sisters, Maggie Deery, Angelita Newman and Cecelia Lopez; nephews, Grayson

and Stetson Bunch and Mason and Cooper Byford; grandmothers, Katherine McAlavy and

Florine Eaton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the

7th of November, 2022 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating.

Private graveside service will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Mitchell Miner, Cale Dufour, Chase Albritton, Rich Carrozza, Tyler

Smith, Jeff Coon, Levi Hughey, Marcus Polmear, Marcus Ruiz and Ronald Lyndsay.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family beginning at twelve o'clock until

services begin at two o'clock at Owen Funeral Home.
