Catherine Abee

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harvey Abee, a son, Hal Ross and brothers RG (Doris), James (Margine), Joseph (Vneeda), Woody (Patricia), Elbert and Alton Fowler.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Sharon) Ross, grandchildren, Christopher (Hannah) Ross, Burl (Brittany) Dye and Sally Dooley. Great grandchildren, Aiden & Miles Ross, Hadley, Maggie and Alayna Dye, Wade and Madison Dooley and several nephews and nieces.

Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all that knew her. She was a retiree from AT&T and sold real estate for many years before settling into her retirement, enjoyed gardening and was a member of Cartersville First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral home with Danny Barker and Tim Samples officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30am to time of service. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Christopher Ross, Burl Dye, David Floyd, Ronnie Fowler, Larry Fowler and John Ross serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be sent to Cartersville First Baptist Church 241 Douthit Ferry Road Cartersville, Ga 30120 in Catherine’s name.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Manor Lake Cartersville and Transitions Hospice for the loving care they showed to her over the past several months.
