Cecil Horace Chester

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ora Chester; his brother, James Curtis Chester, Jr; his sister’s Evelyn Chester Lewis and Betty Chester Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy Petty Chester; sons; Todd (Kim) Chester, Chris (Kim) Chester; grandchildren, Abby, Brett, Claire, Jackson, Payton, Jenna, Haley and Sam; great grandchildren, Paxton, Kollyns, Daniel, Adger; brothers, Sam Chester, Frank Chester, and Larry Chester; sisters, Sarah Chester Pike, Eloise Chester Bruce and Martha Chester Ward; several nieces and nephews.

Cecil was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service. He was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Dr. Patrick Latham and Rev. Todd Chester officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 pm at Owen’s funeral Home. The interment will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18th at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
