Christopher Lee Coats

Chris was born on September 4, 1962 in Rockmart, GA, son of the late Robert Donald Coats, Sr. and Ruth Williams Coats.

Chris was a true and faithful servant of the Lord, loving husband, father and "Papa Chris".

In his spare time he enjoyed working in his vegetable gardens and tending to his tomatoes. The joy of his life was spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his brother, James Anthony Coats.

Survivors include his loving wife of seven years, Vanessa Everett Coats; stepdaughters, Nina (Matt) Goss and Holly (Jeremy) Woods; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandson; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Donald Coats, Jr., Randall Scott Coats and Kenneth Bradley Coats; sister, Charla Michelle Ray; uncle, Lamar Coats; aunt, Pat Rodriquez; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, Cedartown, GA, with the Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
