

Brother was born to Mr. C.S. Donahoo, Sr. and Myrtle Burdette Donahoo in Cartersville, GA on November 3, 1923.
He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church since 1932. He served in many positions there including deacon, assistant treasurer, and also a greeter at the main door for over fifty years. Brother joined the U.S. Navy in 1942. After basic training, he was assigned to a U.S. Destroyer, The U.S. Rodman. He was in both the Atlantic and Pacific campaigns. Towards the end of the war, his ship bombarded Omaha Beach for the American Soldiers to go ashore. He was honorably discharged in 1946. After being discharged from the Navy, he attended The University of Georgia. After college, he was hired by AutoParts Company as an outside salesman for North Georgia and West Georgia. A position he held for forty-two years. After a brief retirement, a personal friend approached him about coming out of retirement. He did and was hired as an assistant project manager to construct the Booth Western Art Museum and later to construct the Tellus Science Museum.
Brother was married for sixty-five years to Anne Stewart Donahoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Watson Coffey; brothers-in-law, Bill Bradford and Larry Lanier. He is survived by his wife, Anne; his beloved caregiver and brother-in-law, Tommy (Jeanette) Stewart; brother-in-law, Luther Paul (Peggy) Stewart; sisters-in-law, Peggy Bradford and Vicki Lanier; one special niece, Cheri Bradford Hayes and other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 7th of August, 2021 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brother’s honor to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
