

Throughout his entire life, Colon was a man of faith and held his relationship with the Lord close to his heart. Being a Minister and Evangelist, Colon loved to spread the word of God and help others in need.
In 1966, Colon joined the United States Army. Colon proudly served as a Hawk Mechanic in Korea. After serving our country, he worked in Marietta, GA at Lockheed Martin until he retired in 2016. While in the Army, Colon was stationed in Fort Bliss, TX, where he met a beautiful Mexican woman. It was love at first sight!
On December 30, 1966, Colon married the love of his life, Lucia Ashworth and they spent just under fifty-four years together before his passing. Colon was a family man who was a great provider. He loved to spend quality time with them and loved being a grandfather. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors gold panning, fishing, and playing golf. Colon Ashworth was a loving man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, A.G. Ashworth; Brother-in-law, Michael Hall; Sister-in-law, Robin Ashworth. Along with his wife, Lucia Ashworth, Colon is survived by his sons, Jose (Donna) Avalos, Juan Ashworth and Miguel Ashworth; daughter, Sonia (David) Roach; Mother, Dorothy Ashworth; brothers, Roland (Judy) Ashworth, Gary Ashworth and Dean Ashworth; sisters, Nancy Hall, Bertha (Sippy) Jolly and Della (Jamie) Mullinax; grandchildren, Antonio, Christopher, Michael, Brian, Victoria, Brianna, Isaiah, Abraham (A.G.); great grandchildren, Jaiden, Heaven, Mahalah, Colson and great- great granddaughter Legacy to cherish his memory.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon prior to the burial service at Bread of Life, 267 Simpson Road, White, GA 30184. Food will be served at Bread of Life Christian Center after the burial.
A committal service with military honors for Mr. Ashworth will be held on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114 at 3:00pm.
