David was born July 22, 1940 to Clarence and Lydia Paris of Emerson, GA. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two daughters, Katherine Lee and Kimberly Ann Paris and by his brother, Martin Paris.
David is survived by his wife, Beverly Jackson Paris, daughters, Debra (Steve) Warren, Deanne (Russell) Bohannon, and Dana (Jeff) Siniard along with their mother Louellen Paris as well as his step-daughters, Michelle (Greg) Jenkins, Melanie Hale, Whitney (Steve) Ford, and Sabrina (Mark) Brooks and by his brother, Stanley Paris.
David was blessed to have 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
David retired from Graybar Electric Supply Company where he was a sale’s manager and also from the city of Emerson where he served as the city manager. He was a long-time member of Emerson First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. David served his country in the United States Army Reserves. All who knew David remember him as an avid hunter and fisherman.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26th from five o'clock in the evening until eight.
A Celebration of David's life will be conducted on Thursday, August 27th, at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr.Chris Weldon, Pastor of Emerson First Baptist Church, officiating. We request that social distance be maintained. Interment will follow the service in Emerson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David's grandsons: Nikoloas Satterfield, Tristan Ware, Dawson Brooks, Taylor Bryson, Christopher Warren, and Calder Collum and nephew, Chuck Holt.
