Delores Miller Hickom

Mrs. Hickom was born March 31, 1932 in Union County, Illinois, daughter of the late Elbert Miller and Serena Elizabeth Miller. She was a retired teacher at First Presbyterian Church Kindergarten where she taught for 29 years. She was a member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church, was a member of the Joy Bible Link and was a member of the Marco Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Magnolia Garden Club and was the table decorator for Prime Timers.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lewis Hickom of Cartersville, GA; her children, Steve & Bridgette Hickom, Doug & Josie Hickom all of Cartersville, GA, Dianna & Craig Shackelford of White, GA, Gloria Raulerson, Scott & Cindy Hickom all of Cartersville, GA, Serena Nations of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Shari Hickom, Jennifer Goodwin & Steve Wolfe, Cindi & Douglas Gravely all of Cartersville, GA, Carla & Christopher Clark of Atlanta, GA, Jessica & Donnie Rahm of Acworth, GA, Micheal Raulerson of Cartersville, GA, Stephanie & Timothy Testut of Acworth, GA, Matthew Hickom of Cartersville, GA, Eric Edmondson of Kennesaw, GA, Rebecca Hickom, Jillian & Jacob Caldwell, Tyler Hickom all of Cartersville, GA, Benjamin Nations of Acworth, GA, Travis Hickom, Troy Hickom, Victoria Hickom all of Cartersville, GA; great-grandchildren, Kayla McEntire of Cartersville, GA, Dylan Roberson of Euharlee, GA, Caleb Raulerson, Hunter Goodwin, Noah Goodwin, Landon Gravely all of Cartersville, GA, Christopher Clark, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Emery Caldwell, Isabella Wolfe, Cooper Caldwell, Kendall Gravely all of Cartersville, GA, Noah Clark of Atlanta, GA, Brayden Rahm of Acworth, GA; sisters, Eileen Williams of Lewistown, Ill., Muerial Mae Brown of Ware, Ill; sister-in-law, Geraldine Beppler of St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 11th , at 4:00 PM at Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Burch and Rev. Nena Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 11th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include Micheal Raulerson, Matthew Hickom, Tyler Hickom, Eric Edmondson, Troy Hickom, Travis Hickom and Ben Nations.
