

Derrick was born on July 2, 1963 in Rome, GA, son of Kenneth Dewitt Bryson and the late Jane Buford Bryson.
Derrick was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud and active member of CrossPoint City Church, and a long time member of The Chuch at Liberty Square. In his spare time, Derrick enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, fishing and taking care of his yard. Derrick was an avid sports fan and always rooted for his Georgia Bulldogs and the Miami Dolphins. He had a phenomonal sense of humor and loved to give everyone around him a good laugh. The true joy of his life was the love he had for his family. He was a proud husband, father, father-in-law, Paw Paw, uncle, brother and son. He was so very loved by everyone that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Sharon Snow Bryson; sons, Brandon (Meagan) Bryson and Matthew Bryson; granddaughters, Caroline and Maggie Bryson; sister, Melia (Scott) West; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, who all loved their "Uncle Porky."
Private graveside services will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 6th of April, 2020 in Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Joe E. Edwards and Rev. James Griffin officiating.
