Donna Carolyn McPherson

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin McPherson Jr., parents, Sydney and Retha Meadows, siblings, Tommy Meadows, Gail Rogers, Ronnie Meadows and Virginia Mauldin. She is survived by her children, Shane (Laura) McPherson, Hayley (Shannon) Wehunt, grandchildren, Parker McPherson, Caroline McPherson, Jake Wehunt and Marlee Wehunt, as well as Molly (Connor) Hogan: sister, Dawn (Billy) Hennon; Brother-in-law Max Mauldin; sister-in-law Brenda Meadows; Brother-in-law Robert Rogers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was an avid quilt maker, beach and reading enthusiast. She was well known in the community through various restaurants including Capri, Mac’s Steakhouse and Cody J’s. She loved her grandchildren endlessly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Willis officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Cody Mauldin, Chase Mauldin, Ty Abernathy, Wes Abernathy, Bradley Gentry and Josh Bruce serving as pallbearers and Jeff Mauldin, Derrick Mauldin, Tony Meadows, Brett Meadows and Nick Rogers, serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
