Edward Lamar Wade

Mr. Wade was born April 20, 1922 in Bartow County, the son of the late Charlie W. and Floy (Black) Wade. He was a farmer, was a World War II Veteran in the U.S. Army Air Corp, retired from the Air Force Reserves, was a member of the Bartow County Farm Bureau and Euharlee Farm Bureau and a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.

Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geraldine (Green) Wade, a son, Edward Wade, Jr., a brother, Robert Wade and a sister, Ruth Wade Cochran.

Surviving are his children, Richard and Wendy Wade of Parker, Colorado, Joan and Jimmy Carroll of Kingston, Marie and Glenn Florence of Birmingham, Alabama, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Methodist church with Rev. Sonny Moon and Rev. Leon Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
